I am really trying hard to be happy these days. And a strong part of me wishes I could be back in the Pacific Northwest where the weather better matches my mood... Also the sea. That would be cool (both figuratively & literally) to jump into right about now.

First time backpacking on the Superior Hiking Trail, first time using my pack, first time backpacking *not* as a Trip Leader (the freedom & solitude was refreshing), first time hiking 14 miles in slightly over 24 hours. Ty @marengaley for doing it with me. 🌿✨🏕

Palisade Head kicked my ass, but at least the views were worth it.

I got to pet a pony today.
